Can you imagine walking in the shade of giant trees, listening to the echo of one of the tallest waterfalls on the planet? The trail to the second cascade is a journey for the senses: you’ll trek through lush vegetation filled with wild orchids, hanging mosses, and bromeliads. And with a bit of luck, the forest will allow you to hear and/or see the elusive Andean Cock-of-the-rock (Peru’s national bird), Spatuletail hummingbirds, or toucanets, making every kilometer of the trek absolutely worthwhile.
