1. WHAT IS ESNNA?

The sexual exploitation of children and adolescents is a problem that seriously affects the fundamental rights of children and adolescents. It consists of the use of minors in sexual or erotic acts or representations to satisfy the interests or desires of others in exchange for financial gain or other payment. It implies recognizing abusive behavior against children and adolescents, in which they are stripped of their most basic rights.

2. PREVENTION OF SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS – ESNNA

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR), in the area of prevention of sexual exploitation of girls, boys, and adolescents (ESNNA) in the tourism sector, seeks to raise awareness among foreign and domestic tourists, tourism service providers, regional and local authorities, teachers, tourism students, schoolchildren, and the community at large about the real problem of ESNNA in our country, developing actions aimed at preventing and eradicating this problem.

3. HOW CAN WE HELP STOP THIS?

Maintain an attitude of rejection of SEC and risk imprisonment.
Immediately report any case of SEC to the Public Prosecutor’s Office or the National Police.
