To detail

Chachapoyas is the capital of the Amazonas Region. This city was founded in 1538 by the Spanish conquistador Alonso de Alvarado. On this guided city tour, you’ll have the opportunity to visit its streets, the Basilica of San Juan Bautista, its plazas, and the Santa Isabel nursery, which cultivates a wide variety of orchids, the traditional flower of this area.

Afterward, we’ll travel to the Shonte Canyon viewpoint (800 meters deep), from where you can appreciate the vast cinchona plantations. Finally, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in a pottery workshop in the Huanca village. The last destination will be the Luya Urku viewpoint after enjoying a traditional regional lunch.
