To detail

The meeting point for this tour will be Paracas Square (please arrive at least 15 minutes before the activity begins). Before starting the tour, you will receive safety instructions on how to operate the mini buggies (easy-to-maneuver automatic vehicles). Please note that the maximum capacity of each mini buggy is two people, so you can enjoy the incredible route with your partner or a friend while taking in various panoramic viewpoints and spots perfect for taking amazing photos.

The first stop will be at Yumaque Beach, where we will have time to take perfect photos and stroll along the beach. Then we will continue driving through the coastal desert until we reach the Isthmus of the Peninsula viewpoint. Here, we will make our second stop to appreciate the beautiful landscape of the Paracas Peninsula from above. We will continue driving until we reach Red Beach. Its viewpoint will be our third stop. This beach was recognized by National Geographic in July 2025 as one of the natural wonders of South America, where you can admire the intense red of its sand, a result of the erosion of rocks and minerals.

After these visits, we will leave the Paracas National Reserve and head back to the starting point (Paracas Square), which will take approximately 20 to 30 minutes. This will conclude our experience.

Description of activities

(1) Departure: 09:00/Return: 11:00

08:45: Pick-up of passengers at Paracas Square, brief orientation and fitting of safety equipment for the tour, and departure towards the Paracas National Reserve.
09:00: Start of the mini-buggy tour through the Paracas National Reserve.
09:20: Stop at Yumaque Beach where we will have time to take perfect photos and walk along the beach. The tour will continue towards the Isthmus of the Peninsula viewpoint.
09:50: Stop at the Isthmus of the Peninsula viewpoint, from here you can appreciate the beautiful landscape of the Paracas Peninsula. Then we will head towards the Red Beach viewpoint.
10:20: Stop at Playa Roja (Red Beach), where the buggy caravan will arrive at the Mirador (lookout point). Here you will have free time to take panoramic photographs. From this point, you can also appreciate the intense red of the sand, a result of the erosion of rocks and minerals.
10:45: Departure from the Paracas National Reserve towards Paracas Square. End of our services.

What is the best time to visit this destination?

The Paracas National Reserve is located in the Ica Department. This destination enjoys sunshine year-round, so it can be visited any month without any problem. If you’re traveling with young children, remember that to take the Mini Buggies tour, they must be accompanied by an adult in the passenger seat. It is recommended that the minimum age for this tour be 6 years old and up.

Regarding the tour within the Reserve, please note:

-MINI BUGGY RIDE: The Mini Buggies have a capacity for 2 people traveling together (driver and passenger), so if you do not have a companion, you will need to bring one person to participate in the tour.

How far in advance can I make a reservation?

Maximum up to 72 hours before the start of the tour and/or subject to availability (only if you are in Lima or Ica). But if you are from a neighboring country or anywhere else in the world, we recommend booking at least 15 days in advance.

What happens if I'm in Lima and I don't know how to get to Paracas?

If you’re in Lima and would like to join us for this activity, we can help you purchase round-trip bus tickets with Cruz del Sur, with no booking fees, to this destination. Just let us know when you request a quote, and we’ll take care of everything!

Do I need to bring any identification documents during the activity?

Yes, it is essential that all participants carry a valid ID card, Immigration Card or Passport during the activity, since the entrance tickets to the Paracas Reserve can only be purchased physically on the same day of the visit and by presenting the document at the entrance booth of the attraction.
