Day 1Description of the activities

(1) Departure: 09:00/End TL: 11:00 – End AI: 12:15.

08:50: Meeting at the entrance to the Cathedral (Arequipa’s Main Square).
09:00: Start of the City Tour. Start of the walk to the Society of Jesus Complex.
09:20: Visit to the Society of Jesus Complex, where you can tour its cloisters and, optionally, visit the San Ignacio Dome. The tour will continue along San Francisco Street, where you can see the Tristán del Pozo House and the Arequipa Archbishopric. The walk will continue to the San Lázaro neighborhood.
10:25: Visit to the San Lázaro neighborhood (Arequipa’s oldest neighborhood), where you can take photos in its historic streets, and then head to the Mundo Alpaca Museum.
10:45: Arrival at the Mundo Alpaca Museum, where you will learn about our camelids such as the vicuña, llama, alpaca, and guanaco. Departure to view Arequipa’s emblematic volcanoes.
11:00: The activity will culminate with a panoramic view of the Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Pichu volcanoes from a strategic point in the city (for guests who choose the Travel Lite Package).
11:15: Start of the visit to Santa Catalina’s Monastery (for guests who choose the All-Inclusive Package).

What is the best time to go to Arequipa?

Arequipa can be visited year-round, but if you want to travel during the best time of year, we recommend visiting between April and December, as the probability of rain during those months is low, and hiking can be more comfortable.

But if you are from a neighboring country or from any other part of the world, we recommend you book at least 30 days in advance or 2 months if the date you arrive is high season in Arequipa.

Do I need to bring any identity document during the tour?

Yes, it is essential that all participants carry a valid DNI, Immigration Card or Passport during the tour, since entrance tickets can only be purchased physically on the same day of the tour and by presenting the document at the ticket office of the tour attractive to visit.
