Lima – Trekking Day to Vichaycocha and Azulcocha Lake from Lima

For all trekking enthusiasts, we bring you this new route to the village of Vichaycocha. If you thought that in Lima you could only do activities on the coast, we’re happy to tell you that this beautiful place is located just 3 hours and 30 minutes from the capital city. Here you can appreciate nature in all its splendor; the views will bring you peace and, above all, help you recharge with positive energy.

What will you know on this Trekking Day?

1. The Azulcocha Lake Viewpoint.
2. The Vichaycocha Towers (Stone Palace).
3. The town of San Miguel de Vichaycocha.
4. The Collpa Hot Springs.

The hike will begin at approximately 07:00, so don’t forget to dress warmly and, above all, bring nutritious snacks for the trail, such as chocolate, energy bars, fruit, and water to stay hydrated. Once we arrive at Azulcocha Lake, we’ll have some time to rest and take all the photos we want. Then we’ll return to the vehicle to head to our next destination, the Vichaycocha Towers, enormous structures of naturally stacked stones that resemble this famous medieval building.

Finally, we’ll have lunch in the village, followed by some relaxation time at the Collpa Hot Springs (optional, entrance fees not included), which are well-known in the area for their medicinal properties. Afterward, we’ll begin our return journey to Lima. Approximate arrival time is 21:00. End of our services.
