Madre de Dios – Tambopata Ecologic Package 3d/2n from Puerto Maldonado

Puerto Maldonado is just a 1 hour and 40 minute flight from Lima, the “Biodiversity Capital of Peru.” It is currently one of the cities with the most pristine forests and breathtaking landscapes in Peru. This will be our starting point for the Tambopata National Reserve. If you’re coming to Peru to explore the lush Amazon and don’t have many days to stay, this package is perfect for you. On day 1, we will arrive by boat along the Lower Madre de Dios River (known as the Serpentine River) to our Lodge, where we will receive a warm welcome with a delicious refreshing drink made with local ingredients. We will then go to Cocha Caimán, a small lagoon where we will have the opportunity to observe the black and white caiman.

On day 2, the tour to Cocha Perdida begins early. We will observe fruit trees, mammals such as the ronsoco and the armadillo, immense swamps, and gigantic trees. We will ascend to a huge observation platform. From this viewpoint, you will appreciate the vast area covered by this magical place, where you can see two types of aguajales: dense and mixed. The Monkey Island activity is OPTIONAL; here you can find an enormous variety of lush flora and numerous primate specimens, such as the maquisapa and the capuchin. You will have a unique experience in this beautiful city, a few days that we assure you will always remember.
