To detail

Our Road Trip begins very early in the morning, we will leave for the Tourist Marina of Paracas, where we will have the opportunity to stroll through the Bay in a slider, first visiting the famous Chandelier, an imposing figure 180 meters long, of still unknown origin, but mostly related to the Pre-Inca Culture of the Paracas, the next destination will be a visit to the Ballestas Islands, a group of islands that have a huge population of sea lions, Humboldt penguins and guano birds.

Our journey then continues to the city of Ica (a bus ride of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes). Upon arrival, your tour leader will take you to the Culturpisco Restaurant, where we will have time for lunch. Afterward, we will enjoy a wine and pisco tasting at their artisanal cellar.

To conclude this road trip, we will head to the Huacachina Desert, located 30 minutes from our lunch spot. Here, you will enjoy a high-speed dune bashing tour of one of the largest deserts in Latin America, known as the Huacachina Desert. We will also try sandboarding while enjoying the breathtaking views. Arrival back in Lima is scheduled for approximately 21:20.

Location: Paracas and La Huacachina are located within the Department of Ica.
Distance from Lima to Paracas: 3 hours approx.
Distance from Paracas to Ica: 1 hour and 30 min. approx.
Maximum height in Ica: 406 meters of altitude (1332 feet).
Weather: Dry and sunny. Average annual temperature 22ºC (71.6 °F).
SUITABLE for children from 06 years old* (*Specifically for the ride in Sandboxes and as long as it is accompanied by an adult).
IMPORTANT: Not suitable for people with heart problems or pregnant women.
Departure time: 04:30. Hotel pickup (valid only for hotels in Miraflores or San Isidro).

05:15: Departure of the Cruz del Sur Bus in the direction of Paracas.
08:30: Arrival at the Cruz del Sur Station in Paracas and private transfers to the
El Chaco Pier (starting point of the Tour to the Ballestas Islands). Delivery of the Box Lunch.
09:00: Start of the Tour in sliders to the Ballestas Islands.
11:00: Return to the mainland and transfer to the Paracas Bus Station.
11:25: Departure of the bus from Cruz del Sur to the city and Ica.
12:55: Arrival in Ica, private transfers to the Culturpisco Restaurant for lunch and Subsequent transfers to the Huacachina.
14:30: Arrival at the Huacachina Oasis, free time for photos.
16:00: Buggy ride and Sandboarding through the Huacachina desert.

What is the best time to visit this destination?

The Paracas Reserve and the Huacachina Desert are located within the Department of Ica, this destination always enjoys the sun, so it can be visited at any month of the year without any problem.

If you travel with children, remember that to be able to make the buggy ride they must go up accompanied by an adult. This tour is not recommended for pregnant women.

What important details should I know about Road Trip?

About these services it is important to know:

-CRUZ DEL SUR INTERPROVINCIAL BUS: Passengers must arrive at the bus station 30 minutes before the departure time indicated on their Ticket. The seats must be occupied, according to the number assigned within your electronic ticket.

-TOUR TO THE BALLESTAS ISLANDS: The seats of the boat will be occupied according to the order in which they were formed at the Tourist Marina pier.

-BUGGIE RIDE TO LA HUACACHINA: The buggie can be shared with other clients up to the maximum capacity of the sandbox.

How long in advance can I make a reservation?

Maximum up to 72 hours before the start of the tour and / or subject to availability of places (only if you are in Lima). But if you are from a neighboring country or from any other part of the world, we recommend you book at least 15 days in advance.

Should I bring an identity document during the Road Trip?

Yes, it is essential that all participants carry a valid ID, Immigration Card or Passport during the tour, since entrance tickets to the Paracas Reserve can only be purchased physically on the same day of the tour and presenting the document in the entrance booth of the attraction.
