To detail
The first day will begin with the activity you choose, having as the first option a City Tour through the historic center of Puno, the Cathedral, the Sanctuary of the Virgen de la Candelaria in Pino Park, the Carlos Dreyer Museum which protects the gold of the Sillustani Treasure (funerary towers) from the Colla, pre-Inca culture, and the Puma Uta Viewpoint to see the bay; and as a second option, the Sillustani Chullpas Tour, visiting the town of Atuncolla to enter a family home, coexist with llamas and alpacas, taste local cheese with potatoes, get to know the Toritos de Pukara, and walk in the archaeological complex among gigantic funerary towers facing the Umayo Lake and Hatun Isla.

For your second day we will have a scheduled two-day and one-night tour sailing on Lake Titicaca observing wild birds and local flora. First you will visit the floating islands of the Uros to learn how their Aymara community builds houses and boats with totora (a native aquatic plant), in addition to seeing their handicrafts, hunting, and fishing. Then you will continue by boat to Amantani Island, where a Quechua family will welcome you into their home for dinner, coexistence, and an overnight stay. In the afternoon, you will ascend to the temples of Pachatata or Pachamama to witness the earth offering ritual and the sunset, concluding with a community party with music and traditional costumes.

On the third day you will wake up in Amantani to have breakfast with your hosts and travel by boat to Taquile Island, famous for its ancestral customs. Once here you will walk with your guide towards the main square to meet its weavers, whose textile art is protected by UNESCO. You will enter the Santiago Artisanal Association to appreciate their handmade garments (do not forget to bring cash for your purchases), you will share a traditional dance with the community members, and you will enjoy a traditional trout-based lunch in a local house. After contemplating the landscape from its viewpoints, you will descend its well-known 500 stone steps, a long staircase built by the inhabitants themselves, famous for its direct panoramic views of the lake and which connects the village with the port to board the boat back to Puno.

The fourth day you will explore the colonial and spiritual history of the south on the Aymara Route. The journey will begin at the Inka Qamana archaeological site (“Inca’s Rest”), which stands out for its stone thrones and benches carved with geometric accuracy, a mystical space that vibrates with Andean rituals. Next you will move towards Juli, known as the “Rome of America” due to its number of churches, to walk among colonial squares and monumental temples such as San Juan de Letran or Santa Cruz de Jerusalen, admiring paintings from the Cusco school and enjoying a typical lunch (not included); afterwards you will continue towards the mystical Aramu Muru portal to stand before the “Gate of the Gods” and you will walk through its Stone Forest before returning to Puno.

The fifth day you will make a cross-border journey towards the southern border (Peru-Bolivia). You will cross Yunguyo to go through immigration procedures in Kasani and enter Bolivia heading to Copacabana. Once in Copacabana, you will visit its Basilica, main squares, and ascend Calvario Hill to see Lake Titicaca, the Sun Island, and the Moon Island; there you will have time for lunch (not included) and to buy handicrafts (do not forget to bring cash). Finally, upon re-entering Peru, you will stop at the town of Chucuito to explore the enigmatic Inka Uyo fertility temple and its stone phallic sculptures, concluding with the return to Puno.
