Ica – Private Full Day Ballestas Islands, Pisco Tasting and Buggies in The Huacachina from Lima

Travel with us to the south of Peru and get to know the Department of Ica on this private Full Day from Lima. You will be able to navigate the open sea, learn in depth the history of one of the most emblematic cities of Peru, known as the cradle of our flagship drink: Pisco. Prepare your backpack, sunscreen, sunglasses and join us on this great adventure.

What will you know on this Full Day?

1. The Ballestas Islands and the Candelabro.
2. La Caravedo, Distillery & Hacienda.
3. Visit to the Helena chocolate shop to taste the famous chocotejas (a typical dessert from the area).
4. The oasis and the desert of La Huacachina.

We will leave Lima very early in the morning heading south, after 3 hours of travel we will arrive at our first destination: El Chaco, the embarkation point for the Ballestas Islands. It will be 2 hours of sailing inland, visiting its beautiful islands, observing sea lions, Humboldt penguins and many more species.

Then we will leave for Ica, a destination located approximately one hour away. Here we will go directly to the Restaurant inside the Hotel & Hacienda La Caravedo, where we will have lunch, its menu contains typical dishes of the area, which we assure you you should not miss.

Continuing with the itinerary we will head towards the Tasting area inside the Hacienda La Caravedo, known as the oldest operating distillery in the Americas, here we will have a Pisco Tasting, while we soak up the history of our flagship drink. After the tasting we will have a brief stop at the Helena chocolate factory, famous for producing “chocotejas” since 1975, this being the typical dessert of the city.

Finally we will close the day heading to the Huacachina Oasis, which is located just 5 kilometers from the city of Ica, from here you can see its enormous dunes and sand dunes, which we will travel on dune buggies, we will do sandboarding while enjoying the sunset. We will arrive in Lima at night.
