Definitely one of the most important things to do before traveling to Peru for the first time is to check the weather forecast for each destination during your stay. Peru is a country with a wide variety of climates, with sunny, foggy, and sometimes rainy days, so you need to be prepared for anything. Don’t forget to check the weather forecast for your travel date.
-For your day in Lima, the capital, we also suggest checking the season the city will be in at the time of your visit, as this city has all four seasons.
-For your day in Ica, we recommend bringing a windbreaker to destinations like Paracas, as the boats are open-air. The region boasts a privileged climate, so you can expect sunshine year-round. If you’re traveling with children, remember that they must be accompanied by an adult to participate in the buggy tour (Huacachina Desert). This tour is not recommended for pregnant women.
-For your time in Arequipa, although it can be visited year-round, we suggest checking the weather forecast during your stay to avoid the possibility of rain. The best time to travel is between April and October.
-For your time in Cusco, we suggest checking the weather forecast during your stay, as Cusco can be both very cold and very sunny during the day. Secondly, we definitely recommend trying to do less strenuous activities on your first day to acclimatize and adjust to the altitude, if you aren’t already. We advise you to drink coca tea, drink plenty of fluids and eat as lightly as possible (digestion here is usually a little slower than normal).
