Ica – Ballestas Islands and The Paracas Reserve Road Trip from Lima

The Paracas Reserve is one of the most important protected areas of the Peruvian coast. It is located within the Department of Ica, in the Province of Pisco. Only 3 hours from Lima approximately is the Bay of Paracas, one of the most beautiful areas of the Peruvian coast, this is also the starting point for the Ballestas Islands, offshore territory, where various species of marine fauna are found, many of them in danger of extinction, such as the beautiful sea lions and the Humboldt penguins.

The Road Trip will begin with the pick-up from your accommodation in Lima, this will be at dawn, but don’t worry, then you can continue resting on the bus. Once we arrive in Paracas, we will embark towards the Ballestas Islands, where we will have the opportunity to navigate through part of the Reserve in sliders, here we can also observe a large geoglyph, known as The Chandelier, a 120-meter-high drawing on the ground, of still unknown origin.

The total tour lasts approximately 2 hours. Then we will return to mobility to go to the Beaches area within the Paracas National Reserve, this will be another great opportunity to appreciate the curious rock formations, the cliffs and also observe more marine fauna.

After finishing the visit, we will return to the Chaco Pier, where we can have lunch, while enjoying the view and the sea breeze. Finally we will be leaving for Lima at approximately 14:10.
