To detail

Our tour will begin with passenger pick-up from the comfort of their accommodations near the Plaza de Armas, followed by a transfer to the tour’s starting point: the lake shore. There, all the necessary safety equipment will be waiting to begin the kayaking journey. Once you are ready with your life jackets, we will begin our journey towards the islands.

Paddling up the channel, we will soon reach the Lake Titicaca National Reserve, where you will observe the local flora and fauna as you paddle past Esteves Island and its 5-star hotel. During this stretch, you can appreciate how native birds take refuge among the dense reeds that surround the island, offering a unique natural spectacle from the water.

Later, you will venture into the vastness of the open lake, navigating waterways flanked by walls of golden reeds. On this journey to the Uros Islands, which will take approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, you’ll encounter local fishermen, boats collecting fresh totora reeds, and various other vessels also heading towards the islands with more visitors. Upon arrival, you’ll visit the island and learn about its fascinating history. You’ll have some free time to purchase souvenirs and take photos. Finally, you’ll begin your return to the same departure point in Puno, arriving back around midday.
