Our full-day tour begins with a transfer from the comfort of your accommodations to the village of Cuispes, the starting point for registration and entry to the area. From there, you will begin a hike into the high jungle, a privileged environment renowned for its rich biodiversity of flora and fauna.

Along the way, you will traverse magical trails that will lead you to admire the beautiful Medio Cerro and Cristal waterfalls. The guided tour continues through the cloud forest until you reach your final destination: the majestic Yumbilla Waterfall.

Once there, you will hike closer to the waterfall itself, experiencing its imposing height and natural power up close. You will have free time to capture memorable photographs and connect with nature at its purest. After completing the hike back to the village, you will board the transport again for the return journey, arriving back in the city of Chachapoyas at approximately 17:00.

  • 16:00: End of the hike in Cuispes and transfer to transportation for the return trip.

What is the best time to travel to Chachapoyas?

The best time to visit is from May to November, during the dry season. The climate along the route to Yumbilla is warm and humid due to the protected forest, so we recommend bringing quick-drying clothing and protection against sudden rain.

What important details should I know about this Full Day tour?

Regarding the Van, please note:

– In order to adhere to the itinerary, the maximum grace period for starting the trip is 15 minutes.

– Seats in the van will be assigned according to the order of arrival, and you must return in the same seat you occupied at the beginning of the Full Day tour.

How far in advance can I make a reservation?

Up to 48 hours before the start of the Full Day tour and/or subject to availability (only if you are already in Chachapoyas). However, if you are from a neighboring country or anywhere else in the world, we recommend booking at least 7 days in advance, or 15 days if your arrival date falls during peak season in Chachapoyas.

 

Do I need to bring any identification documents during the tours?

Yes, it is essential that all participants carry a valid ID card, Foreigner’s Card, or Passport during all tours included in the package.
