Our full-day tour begins with pick-up from your accommodation to start the journey east, venturing into one of the most iconic canyons of the national park. The route passes through the town of Marian, where we will continue our ascent by vehicle to reach the Llaca base camp, the starting point of the hike. During the approximately two-hour trek, you’ll be able to observe the native vegetation and the proximity of the glacial masses that feed the valley.

Upon reaching 4,450 meters above sea level (14,599 feet), you’ll begin to appreciate the surface of the lake, where you’ll have free time to take as many photos and videos as possible. Here, you’ll also have time to rest and have lunch (cold box lunch, not included) before beginning the return to the city of Huaraz, finishing the day at approximately 18:00 hours.

Location: Huaraz, Department of Ancash, Perú.
Distance from Lima to Huaraz by plane: 45 minutes (Arrival airport: Anta). By bus: approximately 7 hours.
Maximum altitude in Huaraz: 3052 meters of altitude (10.013 feet).
IMPORTANT: Have good acclimatization to the altitude.
Climate: Cold and dry temperate. Average annual temperature 10 ºC (50 °F).
Low season: from October to March (rainy season).
High season: from April to September
Departure time: 08:00. Hotel pick up (valid only for hotels near the Main Square of Huaraz).
Return time: 15:30 (departure towards the city of Huaraz, approximate arrival time 18:00).

8:00: Pick-up from your accommodation for the start of the full-day trek to the Cordillera Blanca, passing through the picturesque town of Marian.
10:00: Approximate arrival at Llaca Base Camp. Start of the trek (2-hour hike) through the valley, observing the snow-capped peaks of Ocshapalca and Ranrapalca.
12:00: Arrival at Llaca Lake, where you will have free time for photos and rest. Lunch (cold box lunch, not included).
13:00: Start of the return trek to Llaca Base Camp.
15:30: Return to the city of Huaraz.
18:00: Approximate arrival in the city of Huaraz. End of our services.

What is the best time of year to visit Huaraz?

We recommend visiting the city of Huaraz between April and October, as these are the months when the weather is clearest, allowing you to enjoy trekking and hiking activities more comfortably and safely.

What important details should I know about the Full Day?

Regarding the vehicle, please note:

– In order to adhere to the itinerary, the maximum grace period for starting the trip is 15 minutes.

How long in advance can I make a reservation?

At least 15 days before the scheduled travel date and/or subject to seat availability. If you’re from a neighboring country or anywhere else in the world, we recommend booking at least 20 days in advance, or one month if the date you arrive is high season in Huaraz.

Do I have to carry an identity document during the tour?

Yes, it is essential that all participants carry a valid ID, Immigration Card or Passport during the Full Day.
