Ica – Ballestas Islands, City Tour in Ica and The Huacachina Road Trip from Lima

Looking for a different destination to relax? Then a getaway to the south in Ica may be what you need and best of all, it is only 4 hours from the city of Lima. Here we will have the opportunity to visit the spectacular Ballestas Islands, take a tour of the highlights of the city of Ica and finish in the impressive Huacachina desert. We will wait for you!

We will leave Lima very early in the morning heading south, after approximately 3 hours on the road, we will arrive at our first destination, the Bay of Paracas, where our guide awaits us to take us to Chaco, the embarkation point for the Ballestas Islands. It will be 2 hours of sailing out to sea, visiting its beautiful islands, observing sea lions, Humboldt penguins and many more species.

Then we will leave for Ica, approximately one hour and 30 minutes away. Here we will get to know the most important places in this warm city, known as the cradle of Pisco. We will visit its Plaza Mayor, the Temple of the Lord of Luren, Patron of the city, which was terribly damaged in the 2007 earthquake, this currently has been completely restored carefully following the details of the original building. We will continue with visits to the town of Cachiche and the Artisan Cellars of El Catador, where we will also have lunch with the best local cuisine.

Finally we will close the day heading to the Huacachina Oasis, this is only 5 kilometers from the city, from here you will be able to observe its enormous dunes and sand dunes, which we will be able to travel in sand carts, or also called buggies, it is also possible, perform the practice of Sandboarding. The return will be at sunset.
