Location: Paracas and the Huacachina Desert are located in the Department of Ica.
Distance from Lima to Ica: 4 hours approx.
Distance from Paracas to Ica: 1 hour and 30 min. approx.
Maximum height in Ica: 406 meters altitude (1332 feet).
Climate: Dry and sunny. Average annual temperature 22 ºC (71.6 °F).
SUITABLE for children from 03 years old* (*Specifically for the sandbox ride and as long as it is accompanied by an adult).
IMPORTANT: Not suitable for people with heart problems or pregnant women. If the sand tubing is with children under 5 years old, we recommend upgrading this service to private for an additional US$50.
Departure time (DAY 1): 04:30. Hotel pick up (valid only for hotels within Miraflores or San Isidro).

DINNER MENU:

Entry: They will have a cheese board based on nuts, cheese, ham, olives and cabanossi.
Dinner: As a main course you will enjoy an exquisite BBQ grill of meat (180 grams of steak), chicken or salmon, which is served with grilled chorizo and a delicious grilled vegetable salad (zucchini, peppers, asparagus, onion, Italian zucchini) and golden potatoes.
Drinks: A bottle of red, white or sparkling wine is offered per couple, as well as soda and mineral water.

GLAMPING ALSO OFFERS YOU:

Music Show: Accompaniment and dance music (non-professional).
Decoration: Campfire, carpet, tents, awnings, chairs, cushions, pillows, pouf.

Itinerary

Day 1ROAD TRIP TO THE BALLESTAS ISLANDS + ARTISANAL PISCO TASTING AND GLAMPING IN THE HUACACHINA DESERT

04:30: Pick up of passengers from the comfort of their accommodations and transfer to the Cruz del Sur Bus Station.
05:15: Departure of the Cruz del Sur bus to the city of Paracas.
08:30: Arrival in Paracas, private transfer to the El Chaco artisanal pier and distribution of the Box Lunch (All-Inclusive Package).
09:00: Guided tour by speedboat to the Ballestas Islands.
11:00: Return to the mainland and transfer to the Cruz del Sur Bus Station.
11:30: Departure of the Cruz del Sur bus to the city of Ica.
13:00: Arrival in the city of Ica and lunch at a tourist restaurant.
14:15: Artisanal Pisco tasting at a tourist restaurant.
15:15: Pick up of passengers and departure towards Duna Camp.
15:45: Arrival at Duna Camp to begin the activity.
16:00: Start of the dune buggy tour, also called dune buggies. We’ll go up and down the dunes, and the routes are completely customized, adjusting the speed to the group’s needs. We’ll make some stops during the tour to practice sandboarding, adjusting the heights for both adults and children.
17:45: At approximately this time, we’ll arrive at the Sunset Lookout, a special location to appreciate the sunset. After sunset, the group will be transferred to the camping area to set up their tents. This space features awnings, decorated chairs, cushions, pillows, side tables, as well as areas suitable for the kitchen, bar, food and drinks, and fire pit.

Day 2DAY USE AT DUNA CAMP FOR ANYONE WHO NEEDS IT AND RETURN TO THE CITY OF LIMA

07:30: Transfer from the desert campsite to Duna Camp.
8:00: Arrival at Duna Camp and time for breakfast and showers.
9:00: Pick up of passengers for the Cruz del Sur Bus Station.
10:45: Departure of the Cruz del Sur bus to Lima.
15:05: Arrival in Lima and transfer to your accommodations. End of our services.

What is the best time to visit this destination?

The Huacachina Desert is located within the Department of Ica, this destination always enjoys the sun, so it can be visited in any month of the year without any problem.

If you are traveling with children, remember that, in order to take the ride in the sand carts, they must be accompanied by an adult. This tour is not recommended for pregnant women.

-CRUZ DEL SUR INTERPROVINCIAL BUS: Passengers must show up at the bus station 30 minutes before the departure time indicated on their Ticket. Seats must be occupied, according to the number assigned within your electronic ticket.

How far in advance can I make a reservation?

The Glamping service is available every day with a minimum of 2 people and only with reservations made up to 72 hours in advance. However, we recommend booking at least 7 days in advance (only if you are in Lima), but if you are from a neighboring country or any other part of the world, we recommend booking at least 15 days in advance.

Do I need to bring any identification documents while completing the Package?

Yes, it is essential that all participants carry a valid ID, Immigration Card or Passport during the activity, especially when taking interprovincial buses to travel between destinations, as this is the only valid document to board the bus.
