To detail
This package begins with a City Tour of the White City, whose Historic Center, built from white sillar stone, was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site in the year 2000. You will explore Baroque temples, colonial-courtyard mansions, and the legendary 16th-century Santa Catalina Monastery, a convent that operated as a closed city for centuries.

On the second day, you will continue along the Sillar Route and the 20-meter-high Culebrillas Canyon, sculpted by water and wind, where master stonemasons hand-carve the volcanic rock. In the afternoon, you will discover the greenest and most artisanal side of Arequipa. From the viewpoints of Carmen Alto and Yanahuara, you will capture the perfect postcard view of the three volcanoes: El Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Pichu. You will also visit Fundo El Paraíso to see its Andean camelids, the Incalpaca store to experience the finest alpaca fiber in the world, and the 17th-century Sabandía Mill, which still grinds wheat using water from the Socabaya River.

On the third day, you will begin a journey into the deepest parts of the Andes with a 2-day expedition to the Colca Canyon. You will cross the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve—home to vicuñas, alpacas, and Andean flamingos—visit the Patapampa Volcano Viewpoint at an altitude of 4,910 meters (16,109 feet), and rest in Chivay. At dawn on the fourth day, you will arrive at Cruz del Cóndor to witness the majestic flight of the Andean condor, with its 3-meter wingspan, over one of the deepest canyons on the planet. On the way back, you will tour Yanque and Maca, towns featuring Mestizo-Baroque style churches, and enjoy the Wititi dance, recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The final two days will be pure nature. On the fifth day, you will visit the Salinas Lagoon, a massive salt flat at over 4,300 meters (14,108 feet) above sea level set within an impressive high-Andean valley. This natural mirror reflects El Misti and serves as a habitat for three species of flamingos. Afterward, you will recharge your energy in the Lojen hot springs, renowned for their medicinal properties. On the sixth day, you will discover another side of Arequipa at the Puruña Stone Forest, a landscape of volcanic rock formations, and the Pillones Waterfall, a 30-meter-high cascade hidden among stone canyons where Andean birds nest. Experience Arequipa with all your senses: imposing volcanoes, captivating history, and a gastronomy that stays with you forever.
