To detail
Essential Huaraz in 6 days and 5 nights will begin on the first day with a City Tour to explore on foot the Main Square, the Ancash Archaeological Museum, the Pastorita Huaracina Boulevard, and the Sanctuary of the Lord of Solitude. You will also walk along the historic Jose Olaya street, the only one that resisted the 1970 earthquake (which caused a landslide from the northern part of the Huascaran snow-capped mountain), and then climb to the Rataquenua Viewpoint to enjoy a spectacular view of the city and the snow-capped peaks.

The second day you will immerse yourself in history with a Full Day to the Chavin de Huantar Archaeological Complex, a pre-Inca ceremonial center where you will explore its enigmatic network of underground galleries, complementing the trip with admission to its National Museum to appreciate the imposing tenoned heads and the Monolithic Lanzon (an important oracle).
The third day you will select your first outdoor getaway. You can opt for Lake Paron, considered the most beautiful in the Cordillera Blanca for its turquoise-blue surface and views of the Artesonraju snow-capped mountain; or choose the circuit to the Pastoruri Glacier, an easily accessible jewel of ice where you will walk the famous Climate Change Route and observe the gigantic Puya Raimondi plants, a unique species of the Andes that takes up to 100 years to bloom.

The fourth day you will go on a Full Day to Punta Olimpica and the Town of Chacas, starting north towards Carhuaz to taste its artisanal ice creams. You will continue the ascent through the Ulta Valley until crossing the Punta Olimpica tunnel (the highest trans-Andean tunnel in the world), which offers views of Lake Cancaraca and the Huascaran and Contrahierbas snow-capped mountains, then descend to the picturesque town of Chacas, where you will visit its temple with gold leaf altarpieces and the artistic workshops of the Don Bosco Artisans.

The fifth day you will start with the beautiful Llanganuco Valley with a boat ride on Lake Chinancocha (optional, not included). From this point, you will choose to complete your Full Day with the outdoor option that best suits your rhythm: you can take the demanding high-mountain hike towards Lake 69, beneath the Chacraraju and Pisco snow-capped mountains; or take the cultural route towards the Yungay Campo Santo to learn about its history, ending the journey at the clay workshops of Tarica.
