  • Distance from Lima to Cusco by plane: 42 minutes. By bus: approx. 22 hours.
  • Maximum altitude in Cusco: 3399 meters above sea level.

Day 1TRIP CUSCO/MACHU PICCHU VILLAGE

  • 04:30: Pick up from the hotel to the Wanchaq Station of Peru Rail.
  • 05:10: Departure by bus to the Ollantaytambo Train Station.
  • 07:10: Transfer to the train to Aguas Calientes.
  • 09:15: Arrival in the town of Aguas Calientes and transfer to your accommodation to check in at the hotel. Free afternoon and night.

Day 2TOUR TO MACHU PICCHU AND RETURN TRIP TO CUSCO

  • 07:00: Breakfast at the hotel.
  • 07:30: Check out and pick up from your hotel, who will drop you off at the bus line. These will take you to the entrance gate of the citadel of Machu Picchu.
  • 08:00: Boarding the CONSETTUR bus to Machu Picchu.
  • 08:30 Start of the tour in Machu Picchu (approximate time).
  • 11:00: End of the tour to Machu Picchu and return to Aguas Calientes.
  • 12:00: Lunch in Aguas Calientes.
  • 13:00: Free time for souvenir shopping.
  • 16:22: Departure by train to the PeruRail Ollantaytambo Station. (Remember that it is necessary to be at the station 30 minutes before).

What is the best time to go to Cusco?

Cusco can be visited throughout the year, but if you want to travel during the best time, we recommend going between the months of April and October, as the probability of rain during those months is low, making the mountains look more majestic and with lots of sunlight.

What important details should I know about the Tour?

The tour is offered in small groups. The maximum capacity will be 15 people per group, where the guide is only and exclusively for the passengers who take this program. With the exception of the train and Tourist Bus transfers to Machu Picchu, which are detailed below:

-TRAIN TO AGUAS CALIENTES: The location of the seats within this service is reflected in the ticket that will be sent to you electronically at the time of purchasing the package.

-TOURIST BUS TO MACHU PICCHU: The seats in the transportation will be occupied according to the order of arrival, and you must return in the same seat in which you traveled at the beginning of the tour.

In order to comply with the itinerary, please be very attentive at the time of boarding, in order to comply with the departure and return times.

How far in advance can I make a reservation?

Minimum 30 days before the scheduled travel date and/or subject to availability of tickets to Machu Picchu (Circuit 2) and accommodation. If you are from a neighboring country or from any other part of the world, we recommend booking at least 45 days in advance or 2 months if the date you arrive is during high season in Cusco.

Do I need to bring any identification documents during the tour?

Yes, it is essential that all participants carry a valid ID, Foreigner’s Card or Passport during all the tours included in the package.
