To detail

Our half-day tour begins with passenger pick-up directly from their accommodations. We’ll then travel along the route leading to the first picantería (traditional restaurant) in the Historic Center. There, you’ll learn about the origins of this culinary tradition and sample a seasonal appetizer (such as the refreshing “solterito de queso” or the classic Arequipa-style “Ocopa”). After this first taste of Arequipa’s flavors, we’ll travel to the traditional district of Yanahuara. You’ll visit the renowned picantería La Nueva Palomino, where you’ll enjoy a traditional main course while the guide explains the complexity of Arequipa’s flavors. Finally, you’ll taste the emblematic queso helado (a typical Arequipa dessert) and visit the Yanahuara viewpoint for a privileged view of the Misti volcano. Afterward, we’ll return to Arequipa and begin the transfer to your accommodations, arriving at approximately 16:30. End of our services.
