Day 1Description of the activities

  • 08:45: Pickup from your accommodation and start the walk to the Society of Jesus Complex.
  • 09:00: Visit the Society of Jesus Complex, where you can know its church, tour its cloisters, and visit the Dome of San Ignacio. The walk will continue to Arequipa’s Plaza de Armas.
  • 09:40: Arrival at Arequipa’s Main Square, where you will have some time for photographs. The tour will continue to the Arequipa Cathedral Basilica Museum.
  • 10:10: Visit the Arequipa Cathedral Basilica Museum.
  • 11:00: Continuing the tour, you will visit some of Arequipa’s old mansions, such as the Casa de Tristán del Pozo. Departure for the Convent of Santa Catalina.
  • 11:45: Start of the visit to the Santa Catalina Monastery.
  • 12:45: End of the visit to the Santa Catalina Convent. End of our services.

What is the best time to go to Arequipa?

Arequipa can be visited year-round, but if you want to travel during the best time of year, we recommend visiting between April and December, as the probability of rain during those months is low, and hiking can be more comfortable.

How long in advance can I make a reservation?

Maximum up to 48 hours before the start of the tour and/or subject to space availability (only if you are already in Arequipa). But if you are from a neighboring country or from any other part of the world, we recommend you book at least 30 days in advance or 2 months if the date you arrive is high season in Arequipa.

Do I need to bring any identity document during the tour?

Yes, it is essential that all participants carry a valid DNI, Immigration Card or Passport during the tour, since entrance tickets can only be purchased physically on the same day of the tour and by presenting the document at the ticket office of the tour attractive to visit.
