This city houses a vast gem called “La Huacachina”, composed of dunes that make up one of the largest deserts in South America. Its residents have designed and equipped dune buggies (also known as dune buggies) to travel at high speed. As if that weren’t enough, this package includes the entire history of our national drink: Pisco, and of course, the delight of tasting it.

To detail

Our package begins with pickup from your accommodation in Lima, followed by transfer to the Cruz del Sur Bus Station. After a 4-hour trip, you’ll arrive in Ica. Your guide will meet you for a guided tour of two artisanal wineries, La Piskera and Experiencia Culturpisco, At the latter location, you’ll also have a traditional lunch that will allow you to learn a little more about the local cuisine. Finally, you’ll receive a lesson on how to make your own Pisco Sour.

The next destination is Huacachina, where you’ll have the opportunity to take a ride through the dunes in dune buggies, also known as tubular buggies. The ride culminates with the breathtaking view of the sunset in the middle of the desert. Then, you’ll begin your transfer to your accommodation, where you’ll have a free afternoon and an overnight stay.

The following day, a delicious breakfast is included at your chosen accommodation. While you enjoy the hotel facilities for a few more hours, you’ll prepare for your return trip to Lima. Your transfer will pick you up and take you to the Ica bus station. Upon arrival at the Lima bus station, you’ll have a final transfer to your accommodation, thus concluding our services.

Weather: Dry and sunny. Average annual temperature 22ºC (71.6 °F).

What is the best time to visit this destination?

The Department of Ica has a privileged climate, so it is possible to visit them throughout the year without problems.

What important details should I know about the Package?

Tours are offered as a mixed service; some tours will be private and others will be shared. Please remember to take into account the following instructions:

-CRUZ DEL SUR INTERPROVINCIAL BUS: Passengers must show up at the bus station 30 minutes before the departure time indicated on their Ticket. The seats must be occupied, according to the number assigned in your electronic ticket.

-BUGGY RIDE THROUGH THE HUACAHINA: The seats of the buggies will be occupied according to the order of arrival, and you must return in the same seat in which you traveled at the beginning of the tour.

What important details should I know about this accommodation?

These are the most important details you should keep in mind with either of the 2 accommodations of your choice:

Rates do not apply on long holidays or holidays.
After checking out of your room, you can leave your belongings at the front desk and continue using our facilities and services, which will be available until your check-out time.

How long in advance can I make a reservation?

Maximum up to 72 hours before the start of the tour and/or subject to space availability (only if you are in Lima). But if you are from a neighboring country or from any other part of the world, we recommend you book at least 15 days in advance.

Should I bring any identity document during the trip to Ica?

Yes, it is essential that all participants carry a valid ID, Immigration Card or Passport during all the tours included in the package.

We would have never had as good a time as we did if it wasn’t for Pamela planning our trip! She made the whole experience so much more exciting! Took so much pressure off of us trying to figure out where to go and what to see. She planned every detail and we got to enjoy the ride! From booking transportation to and from Ica, to our lunches and of course the excursions! We didn’t have to worry about trying to find a taxi or anything, since Pamela arranged all the transport and drivers were waiting with our names on signs, so it was super easy to find them! The excursions were a blast! Highly recommend booking through this company. The entire staff was great at communicating and keeping us updated on the itinerary. And even though everything was planned, we still had free time to enjoy to ourselves. We never felt rushed to do anything. We had time after the excursions to go back and shop the gift shops from the Pisco tastings, and got to enjoy plenty of time in the evening to have a nice dinner at our leisure. First class service through and through!
