The Cordillera de Raura is the perfect setting for lovers of trekking and adventures in the snow, this mountain range is located between the departments of Lima and Huánuco, where not only can you see snow-capped mountains such as Yarupa (5750 masl), the most high of the area, but you will also be able to see 3 of its beautiful lagoons up close.

To detail

Location: Central Andes, between the Departments of Lima and Huánuco.
Distance from Lima to La Cordillera de Raura: 6 hours approx.
Maximum height in the Cordillera de Raura: 5685 meters above sea level (18651.57 pies).
Duration of the Trekking to be carried out: 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes.
SUITABLE only for adults.
Cold weather. Average annual temperature 12 ºC (53.6 °F).
Dry season: from April to September
Rainy season: from October to March.
NOT SUITABLE for people with respiratory or heart problems.
IMPORTANT: Participants must not have altitude sickness (soroche). Experience trekking above 3000 meters above sea level is required, and participants must be in good physical condition to complete the hike.
Departure time and location: Calle Comercio, behind the National Museum of San Borja: 21:50.
Return time: 14:00 (arrival in Lima approximately 20:30 on day 2).

Day 1 DEPARTURE TO CHURIN

22:00. Departure towards the town of Churín.

Day 2 TREKKING IN THE MOUNTAIN RANGE AND RETURN TO LIMA

04:00: Llegada al Poblado de Churín para poder tomar desayuno (no incluido).
05:30: Continuamos con el recorrido en la movilidad rumbo al nevado Raura.
08:00: Inicio del Trekking hacia Nevado.
09:30: Llegada al nevado. Tiempo libre para fotos y videos.
10:40: Hora de retornar a la movilidad y dirigirnos hacia las Lagunas.
12:00: Llegada y visita a las Lagunas de distintos colores, las cuales forman parte de la Cordillera de Raura.
14:30: Hora de almorzar en un Restaurante Campestre en Churín (no incluido), el horario de llegada al Restaurante, dependerá de cuánto tiempo nos tome el Trekking.
15:30: Salida con dirección hacia Lima.
21:00: Llegada aproximada a Lima. End of our services.

What requirements must I meet to be able to carry out this Trekking Day?

Be of legal age (18 years).
Experience in trekking at more than 3000 meters above sea level is required.
Not having problems with height like soroche.
Be in good physical condition for the walk.
The exit is not suitable for people with respiratory or cardiac problems.

What important details should I know about the Trekking Day?

About the Van you should know:

-The mobility seats will be occupied according to the order of arrival, and you must return in the same seat in which you traveled at the beginning of the trip.

-In order to comply with the itinerary, the maximum tolerance to start the trip will be 15 minutes.

How long in advance can I make a reservation?

Maximum 72 hours before the tour start date and/or subject to availability. If you are from a neighboring country or anywhere else in the world, we recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance.

Do I need to bring any identity document during this outing?

Yes, it is essential that all participants carry a DNI, Immigration Card or valid Passport during the realization of this campsite.
