Our full-day tour begins with passenger pick-up directly from their accommodations. We’ll then travel along the road to Wilcahuain, approaching the trekking starting point in the village of Regrish. From there, we’ll set off on the hiking trail that will eventually lead us to Radian Lake (approximately 3 km). Weather permitting, we’ll also be able to appreciate the immensity of Huascarán Mountain from the lake’s shores. During the hike, there will be time for a snack or a packed lunch (not included).

The hike will last approximately 4.5 to 5 hours, concluding with a descent back to Regrish (the starting point of the trek). Our transportation will be waiting there to begin the return trip to Huaraz, arriving at approximately 17:30.

  • Location: Huaraz, Department of Ancash, Perú.
  • Distance from Lima to Huaraz by plane: 45 minutes (Arrival airport: Anta). By bus: approximately 7 hours.
  • Maximum altitude in Huaraz: 3052 meters of altitude (10.013 feet).
  • IMPORTANT: Have good acclimatization to the altitude.
  • Climate: Cold and dry temperate. Average annual temperature 10 ºC (50 °F).
  • Low season: from October to March (rainy season).
  • High season: from April to September
  • Departure time: 08:00. Hotel pick up (valid only for hotels near the Plaza de Armas in Huaraz).
  • Return time: 14:45 (departure towards the city of Huaraz, approximate arrival time 17:30).

Description of the activities

  • 8:00: Pick-up of passengers from the comfort of their accommodation for the start of the Full Day tour.
  • 8:30: Departure towards Wilcahuain and arrival at the village of Regrish. Starting point of the hike.
  • 9:30: Arrival in Regrish. Brief time for preparations and start of the trek towards Laguna Radian (3 kilometers, approximately 2.5 to 3 hours of hiking depending on the group’s pace).
  • 12:30: Approximate arrival at Radian Lake. Here we will have 30 to 40 minutes of free time for lunch (not included). Remember that this should be a cold snack or a light boxed lunch.
  • 13:10: Start of the hike along the trail where you can observe various views of the Andean landscape.
  • 14:45: Arrival in the village of Regrish, where our transportation will be waiting to take us back to the city.
  • 17:30: Approximate arrival in the city of Huaraz. End of services.

What is the best time of year to visit Huaraz?

We recommend visiting the city of Huaraz between April and September, as these are the months when the weather is clearest, allowing you to enjoy trekking and hiking activities more comfortably and safely.

What important details should I know about the Full Day?

The tours are offered as a private service, meaning that both the transport capacity and the guiding service are solely and exclusively for the passengers who take this Full Day tour.

About the Van you should know:

-In order to comply with the itinerary, the maximum tolerance to start the trip will be 15 minutes.

-The mobility seats will be occupied according to the order of arrival, and you must return in the same seat in which you traveled at the start of the tour.

How long in advance can I make a reservation?

At least 15 days before the scheduled travel date and/or subject to seat availability. If you’re from a neighboring country or anywhere else in the world, we recommend booking at least 20 days in advance, or one month if the date you arrive is high season in Huaraz.
