San Jerónimo de Surco is a small agricultural town that is located 3 hours from Lima, to get here we will take the central highway and then a detour at kilometer 63. This is the perfect place to forget about the busy noise of the city.

The adventure begins by crossing 2 waterfalls doing Canyoning, where thanks to the help of an instructor and the necessary equipment you will reach the main attraction. The Songos Natural Slides, as their name indicates, are rocky shapes in the form of slides, through which the water goes down, thus forming a natural pool.

  • Location: District of San Jerónimo de Surco, Province of Huarochirí, Department of Lima.
  • Distance from Lima to San Jerónimo de Surco: 3 hours approx.
  • Distance of the walk: 3 kilometers
  • Maximum altitude in San Jerónimo de Surco: 2,500 meters of altitude.
  • SUITABLE for children from 14 years old accompanied by an adult.
  • NOT SUITABLE for pregnant and acrophobic people.
  • Clima: Húmedo. Temperatura promedio anual 19ºC.
  • Dry season: from April to November (the water level is suitable for beginner hikers).
  • Rainy season: from December to March (recommended months for experts, since the water level is higher).

Day 1Description of the activities

  • 04:30: Meeting at the First Starting Point (Plaza Norte).
  • 05:00: Meeting at the Second Starting Point (San Borja)
  • 05:15: Departure towards Songos.
  • 07:00: Arrival in Corcona.
  • 08:00: Start of the tour. We got ready to start trekking and canyoning. Brief instructional talk.
  • 10:30: Arrival at the Slides. Here we will have some free time to enjoy the place.
  • 11:00: Trekking back to the town of Songos.
  • 12:00: Country lunch (not included).
  • 14:00: Visit to the Challape Waterfall and the suicide bridge. We prepare to make the rappel of 50 meters.
  • 16:30: Return towards Lima (arrival in Lima approximately 20:30).
COVID-19
  • Each participant must have their mandatory double mask on during mobility transfers.
  • It is essential to present your Immunization Record with the complete doses.
  • All our Guides pass a daily check to guarantee the safety of the group.
  • The temperature will be taken at the beginning and end of the trip. Passengers with a temperature higher than 38ºC WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE THE TRIP with us.
  • All materials and / or equipment used that have contact with clients during the tour will be frequently disinfected.

What other requirements must I meet to be part of this Full Day?

-We recommend a minimum age of 14 or a maximum age of 55 to be able to do this Full Day.

-For safety, the maximum weight of the participant should not exceed 100 kilos.

-It is essential that you do not suffer from claustrophobia and/or acrophobia, especially since the idea is that you enjoy the excursion without having any complications.

What important details should I know about the Full Day?

About the Van you should know:

-Mobility seats will be occupied in the order of arrival, and you must return in the same seat in which you traveled at the start of the tour.

-In order to comply with the itinerary, the maximum tolerance to start the trip will be 15 minutes.

How long in advance can I make a reservation?

Maximum up to 72 hours before the start of the tour date and / or subject to space availability. If you are from a neighboring country or from any other part of the world, we recommend you book at least 2 weeks in advance.

Should I bring an identity document during the Full Day?

Yes, it is essential that all participants carry a valid ID, Immigration Card or Passport during the tour.
