The Full Day begins with the pick-up of passengers from the comfort of their accommodations in Cusco (provided they are located near the Historic Center of the city). We then head to the PeruRail Train Station, where we embark on a journey to Aguas Calientes, the town from which buses depart to Machu Picchu Mountain.

Our local guides will take care of providing you with all the details and history of this impressive Historic Sanctuary, also known as the Inca Llacta, today one of the most visited places in the world.

It will be approximately a 2-hour guided tour, capturing the best photos and learning more about this ancient culture. Upon returning to the town of Aguas Calientes, a typical lunch awaits us at a local restaurant, followed by free time to bring home some souvenirs.

Finally, the return train departs in the afternoon to reach the city of Cusco by nightfall (please note that this service is bimodal, so you should be attentive to the bus-to-train and vice versa transition).

FAQs

What is the best time to visit Cusco?

Cusco can be visited throughout the year, but if you want to travel during the best time, we recommend going between the months of April to October. During this period, the probability of rain is low, making the mountains appear more majestic and bathed in ample sunlight.

What important details should I know about the Full Day?

The Full Day is offered in a small group setting. The maximum capacity will be 15 people per group, where the guidance is exclusively for passengers taking part in this program. With the exception of transfers by train and tourist bus to Machu Picchu, which are detailed below:

-TRAIN TO AGUAS CALIENTES: The seat locations within this service are indicated on the ticket that will be electronically sent to you at the time of package purchase.

-TOURIST BUS TO MACHU PICCHU: Seats on the transportation will be occupied on a first-come, first-served basis, and you should return to the same seat you used at the start of the tour. In order to adhere to the itinerary, please be attentive during boarding to ensure compliance with the departure and return schedule.

How far in advance can I make a reservation?

Up to a maximum of 30 days before the start of the Full Day and/or subject to availability of slots (only if you are already in Cusco). But if you are from a neighboring country or any other part of the world, we recommend booking a minimum of 45 days in advance or 2 months if the arrival date falls during the high season in Cusco.

Should I bring any identification document during the Full Day?

Yes, it is essential for all participants to carry a National Identification Document (DNI), Foreigner ID (Carnet de Extranjería), or a valid Passport during the completion of this tour.
