Rupac, is considered Cultural Heritage of the Nation since 1999, it is located in the Province of Huaral, Department of Lima at 3,400 meters of altitude, here you can visit the Pre-Inca citadel of the Atavillos, a culture that occupied in the year 1,200 AD. an extensive area of ​​the Lima mountains.

In order to get to this place, you must take a walk of approximately 3 hours uphill from the town of Pampas, the destination also offers one of the most beautiful sunsets in all of Lima, since the east lights up the sky with colors at sunset. If you are looking for peace and disconnect from everything, this place is exactly what you need.

Day 1 TRIP LIMA HUARAL-RUPAC

  • 05:00: Meeting at the Starting Point: San Borja.
  • 05:45: Departure to Huaral
  • 09:00: Arrival in Huaral to have breakfast and make the purchases that are needed for the camp.
  • 12:00: Arrival at the town of Pampas, here we will have lunch.
  • 13:00: Start of the walk to Rupac (Payment of entrance fee to the Citadel included).
  • 15:30: Arrival at the citadel, setting up camp, free time to rest from the walk and watch the sunset.
  • 19:30: Souvenir photos with the sunset, campfire, dinner and rest.

Day 2HIKING AND TOUR IN RUPAC

  • 06:30: We wake up to see the sunrise and possibly the cushion of clouds that characterizes Rupac.
  • 07:00: Time to get ready. Pick up of tents and equipment.
  • 08:00: Breakfast (not included).
  • 09:00: Walk to the ceremonial part, 3-level buildings, kitchen passageways, Marka Kullpi fortress, funerary Chullpas, military zone, (photos) and free leisure time.
  • 10:00: Return to the town of Las Pampas and lunch.
